Mirchi Pakora is perfect spicy appetizer can be served with ketchup or Pav(Bread). One of my favorite appetizer as I love spicy food. These pakoras are very famous in Maharashtra specially in Pune and Mumbai. There are various ways to make this pakoras. My mom makes this pakoras without stuffing . You can make this pakoras with stuffing or without stuffing, both ways it tastes awesome. Today I am sharing this super recipe with Aloo stuffing. It is very easy to make and yet tasty.

Ingredients :                                                                      Large Chilli's  4-5                                                             Besan( Gram Flour ) 1 Cup                                                 Water 1/2 cup                                                                       Ajwain 1 teaspoon                                                                 Salt as per your taste                                                         Baking soda 1 pinch                                                               Oil for deep frying
Ingredients for Stuffing:
2 Medium Potato (boiled)
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
Salt as per taste
1 teaspoon Oil

Recipe( Stuffing) :

Peel and smash the boiled Potato.
Heat the small pan and add 1 teaspoon of oil to it.
Once oil is heated add cumin seeds , ginger garlic paste, red chili powder. Stir the gently and pour it on the smashed potato. Add salt to and mix everything properly . Stuffing is ready for filling .

Recipe :

Wash and pat dry chilli's .

Make a slit on chilli with knife . Make sure you don't cut the chilli all the way, you just have to slit it so that you can put stuffing inside.

Remove the seeds.

Now slightly enlarge the slit of the chili and fill the stuffing inside . Fill with enough stuffing and push gently so stuffing won't come out while frying.

Repeat the same process for all chilli's and keep aside .

Take one bowl and add besan(Gram flour) to it.  Add  walter, salt, ajwain and baking powder and mix thoroughly. Do not add more water. We need little thick batter. If batter is watery it wont stick on the chili properly and pakors wont turn out good.

Heat the oil in frying pan on medium heat. Once the oil is heated , take one chilli and dip it into besan batter. Coat it well with besan properly and put the chili in the oil for frying.

Add 2-3 chilli's in one batch(depending upon the size of your frying pan and oil).

Fry it on medium heat. Turn the chilli's when its perfectly fried from one side. Fry pakoras until you see nice golden brown color.

Once the pakoras are golden brown in color,Take them out the in the plate lined with paper towel. So it will  absorb the excess of oil.

Now Pakoras are ready to serve with Mint chutney , Tamarind Chutney or with Pav(Bread)

To make it presentable , You can cut the pakoras into round pieces(see image below) .
