Indian Bread/Ladi Pav/White Bread Dinner Rolls


Well, Finally its here...so excited to share this recipe... I missed it so much in USA. Specially along with my most favorite dishes pav bhaji, Misal Pav and Vada Pav.  I made this first time and very happy with the result. They came out perfectly light and fluffy with that rich taste- reminded me of my childhood...Enjoy!!!!!


Ingredients: 

Cups All-Purpose Flour
3/4 Cup Water
2  teaspoon instant yeast
3 Teaspoon sugar
1 Teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoon butter



Method:

1. Combine all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

2. Knead the dough by hand around 10 minutes or by stand mixture 7 to 8 minutes.Keep kneading untill dough is really smooth.. the key is you have to keep kneeding

3. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl .Cover it. Keep it in a large bowl, because the dough will rise double in volume. Allow it to rise for 90 minutes.

4. After 90 minutes transfer the dough to greased work surface. Knead it for 2-3 minutes. Divide the dough into 10-12 small balls.

5. Arrange them into greased baking pan in a  2 or 3 rows. Cover it and keep it for another 45 minutes to 1 hour. By the time , Preheat the oven to 350°F.

6. After 45 mins or 1 hr Place the baking pan in the oven (middle rack). Bake it for 20 to 25 minutes, untill they are golden brown and feel done.

7. Remove them from the oven and polish with melted butter. Let it cool for 3-4 minutes and Serve with Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji , Misal Pav.


 

 

Note : I have used Instant Yeast so i did not have to activate the yeast .If you are using Dry active yeast you have to perform one additional step to activate yeast and then add all other ingredients to yeast mixture.
