Sevai kheer


Ingredients

  • 1 Cup fine Sevai broken to 1" bits
  • 1/2 Litre milk
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon ghee
  • 1 Teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 2 Tablespoon custard powder(Optional)
  • 5-10 Strands of saffron
  • 5 Thinly chopped almonds
  • 5-6 Cashew nuts




Recipe


  • Heat ghee in a pan on medium heat.
  • Add sevai and roast it lightly.
  • Put milk in a another deep pan and add custard powder,mix it throughly.
  • Heat milk on a medium heat and bring it to boil.
  • Add sugar and stir well until the sugar is dissolved
  • Add sevai and mix it well.
  • Now add cardamom powder, saffron, almonds,cashew nuts.
  • Cook it for 5-7 minutes.
  • Sevai kheer is ready to serve.
