Rava Upma
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Rava(Semolina)
- 1 Tablespoon Urad Dal
- 1 chopped onion
- 2-3 chopped green chili(As per your taste)
- 1 Teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 Tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
- 5-7 Cashew nuts
- 2-3 Curry leaves
- 3 Tablespoon Ghee or Oil
- 1 Teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Recipe
- Soak the Urad Dal for 15-20 minutes in the water
- Sift rava through a muslin.
- Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a pan and fry rava lightly.keep stirring continuously so that rava will not get burnt.
- Now add 2 tablespoon of ghee to another pan .
- Add Mustard seeds, Cumin seeds,curry leaves and cashew nuts
- Add chopped onion & Green chili fry it for 1 minutes.
- Then add Urad Dal and keep frying.
- Add lemon juice and stir it well
- Now add 3 cup of water and salt to taste
- Once water started boiling add semolina(Rava) to it and keep stirring
- continuously.Add rava slowly so that there will not be any lumps into Upma .
- cover the pan and cook it for 2-3 minutes(Until Rava is cooked nicely)
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Rava Upma is ready to serve.
